Red Rock Ampitheather...

Red Rock Theater - from the stage Posted by Hello

Last time Todd was in town, we tried to go to the Red Rock Ampitheater, but Lyle Lovett was performing that night and we couldn't get close to the stage without buying a $40 ticket. Red Rocks is a geologically formed, open-air Amphitheatre that is not duplicated anywhere in the world...and is supposedly world famous. Well, this time, on our way back from Keystone, we stopped by to enjoy the sights - what an incredible theater. If you are ever in Denver, you definitely need to see it. My pictures don't do it justice - well, that's the way it is with all the pictures I take.

A Keystone Christmas!

Skiing at Night Posted by Hello

I wasn't able to go home for the holidays, but I did have the next best thing. Todd and I went skiing at Keystone and stayed out there a couple of nights. Had a great time ice skating, skiing, and resting our sore muscles in the hot tub. It turned out to be a great Christmas! Spent 10 hours skiing on Christmas day. This made possible since Keystone has Night Skiing...my legs were burning and felt like jello before it was all over. I am writing this journal entry 7 days later and I think I am still recovering from that day...but, it was definitely worth it.

Bragging Rights!

My Alma Mater! Posted by Hello
My Alma Mater played in the National Championships yesterday, and it was one of the few times I'll get to see my school on TV, unlike you CU, UT, Baylor, A&M, and OU alumni. So, it was a big moment for me and all the other Crusaders. Another amazing thing is, the football team has only been in existence for 7 years - there was no football team at UMHB when I was there for my undergrad. Who cares we lost...it's pretty amazing just to make it that far. Very close game - no one knew who was going to win until the last 14 seconds of the game...Go Crusaders!!!

Todd and I went to the Botanical Gardens (am I spelling that right?) his last night in town. As you can tell in the pictures, I think my camera couldn't hadle all the different lights it had to develop....but, cool pictures.

Copper Again!!

Copper Posted by Hello

Todd and I went skiing at Copper Mtn and it sure kicked my butt this time. I felt that I had never been skiing before. I fell probably 10 times, more than I have fallen in the past 7 times I have gone skiing. I went with a sore back, and probably a little nervous skiing around Todd whom I've never skied with before. Besides the falling, I had a blast. Great times....

Todd's Visit!

Todd flew up to visit for the weekend. He hung out on the first day and just went sightseeing around Denver - Capitol, Art Show, and tour of the Coors Factory. The rest of the weekend, I dragged him along to a couple of christmas parties, went went to a play, went skiing, and enjoyed looking at Christmas lights. Great weekend, but went by too fast. Before I knew it, I was taking him to the airport early Monday morning. Ugh.

The 2 snow boarders being LAZY!!! Now to think of it, one of them spent the majority of her/his time on their butt - That person definitely won the prize for the most 'wipe outs!'

Jennifer and I posing at the MID Xmas party! Posted by Hello

Went to the Meet In Denver Xmas party on Friday night. Jennifer and I went together knowing NOBODY and actually met some nice folk. MID is a great way to meet other people in Denver and find people to go hiking, skiing, rock climbing, etc. with. Great times!!
